Christmas Bureau

Show Us Your Heart

For the past thirty years the Christmas Bureau has symbolized our community’s willingness to help low-income North Shore families with children 18 years or younger, and seniors 65 and older and persons with disabilities. Families and individuals celebrate and enjoy the holidays through the distribution of Christmas hampers filled with grocery gift cards, gifts and toys. Every request for assistance is treated with compassion, respect and confidentiality. Our goal is to help families with children 18 years and younger to enjoy a hearty meal on Christmas day and ensure that every child and their family receive a gift on Christmas morning.

What it means to Sponsor a Family

Sponsor a Family Form

The Christmas Bureau relies entirely on the Sponsor a Family Program, financial donations , in-kind donations and the support of  volunteers. Your gift is shared with hundreds of low-income families, including children 18 and younger, seniors and persons with disabilities who rely on the generosity of the community families at Christmas and throughout the year. The Christmas Bureau is open from November 6th to December 18th, 2017.

Tax receipts will be issued for all in-kind donations over $20.00. Please note that we are unable to allocate portions of a receipt to more than one contributor.

Download and complete the Tax Receipt Request Form. Attach all your original sales receipts, including the receipt or photocopy of the Grocery Gift Card. Mail to the FSNS office prior to December 31, 2017 or drop off your completed form with original receipts at the Hamper Exchange. Original receipts must accompany each contributor's Tax Receipt Request Form.
