Christmas Bureau Applicants

The Family Services of the North Shore Christmas Bureau offers assistance during the holiday season to low-income families with children 18 years or younger, low-income seniors 65 or older and persons with disabilities living in North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Lions Bay or Bowen Island.

Applications have been mailed out to many 2017 Christmas Hamper recipients. Applications are also available for pick-up at the following locations:

  • Family Services of the North Shore
  • Harvest Project
  • Ministry of Employment and Income Assistance
  • Salvation Army
  • North Shore Neighbourhood House
  • Ministry of Children and Family Development
  • North Shore Multicultural Society
  • Silver Harbour Seniors’ Centre
  • West Van Seniors Activity Centre
  • North Shore Women’s Centre
  • Hollyburn Family Services Society
  • Molly Nye House

All applicants will be interviewed to confirm eligibility. After October 15th, call 604-984-9627 to schedule a time to meet with us. You will need your completed application form with all required documentation including:

  • proof of income (recent pay stub or 2017 income tax return)

Beginning OCTOBER 15th, the Christmas Bureau will be open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. While we will accept completed applications until December 3, 2018,

Please take the time to fill in the “gift suggestion” portion of the application before your interview. Suggesting two or three gift alternatives for each individual is helpful to your sponsor.  If requesting clothing, please provide sizes.  Colour preferences may also be helpful.  Remember, the cost per gift should be no more than $30.
