Christmas Bureau

Volunteering Christmas Bureau

Through our Sponsor a Family Program, the Christmas Bureau provides Christmas hampers to low-income families and individuals living on the North Shore.Every year volunteers are needed to help at the Christmas Bureau.  Many volunteers in our community give several hours of their time during the holiday season to help make the Christmas Bureau a success.

Volunteer opportunities involve: office duties, sorting and organizing toys, setting up and dismantling of the Toy Shop, personal shoppers to assist parents with gift selections in the Toy Shop, organize and distribute hampers at the Lucas Centre Hamper Exchange and drivers to collect toys and deliver hampers.

You will gain the experience of having contributed to your community by helping others at this time of year.  Volunteering at the Christmas Bureau is an opportunity to meet others and work together, gaining organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications
Can you commit a few hours of your time during the holiday season? Do you have good listening and organizational skills? Are you a compassionate person? If so, consider becoming a part of the Christmas Bureau volunteer team. Strength in cultural diversity is an asset.
